Counseling that meets you where you are.

Whether you’re a kid, teen, or young adult, a mom, or an educator, you don’t need more labels — you need real tools and someone who gets it.

Counseling isn’t about fixing you. It’s about giving you back choices.

Youth & young adults want to feel capable, moms want to feel authentically themselves, and educators want to feel passion again.

I’ve walked each of those paths, and I know how heavy they can feel. Together, we’ll build practical strategies that fit your life and help you reclaim calm, focus, and identity.

Counseling that’s Tailored to You

  • Typewriter with a piece of paper that has the word 'TELEHEALTH' printed on it.

    Youth & Young Adults

You’re not lazy or incapable — your brain is overloaded. If school feels impossible, anxiety keeps you stuck, friendship seems out of reach, or focus slips away, counseling can help you build strategies that make life feel doable again. You’ll leave with tools that help at school, at home, and with friends.

  • Wooden tiles spelling out the word 'SIMPLE' on a white background. Simple payment, low-cost therapy and counseling. Reduced rates.

    Moms & Wives

You can love your family and still feel lost in the roles. Counseling helps you reclaim boundaries, time, and the parts of yourself you miss. You can be the mom and wife you’ve always dreamt about! You’ll learn how to stop running on fumes and start living with more calm, confidence, and joy.

  • A red coffee mug with yellow text, a notebook with a black and yellow pen on it, and a potted plant with green and variegated leaves on a light-colored table.

    Educators

You give everything to your students, and now you’re running on empty. The tears and exhaustion make it hard to walk onto campus. Counseling helps you repair stress responses, set boundaries, and reconnect with why you became a teacher in the first place. You’ll leave with energy and strategies that make the classroom feel meaningful again and student interactions joyful again!

My Counseling Style

I use a blend of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), holistic practices, and creative therapies like sand tray and art therapy to support youth, parents, and educators in ways that feel practical, compassionate, and deeply human.

ACT guides much of my work because it helps people build a life rooted in what matters most — not by avoiding hard emotions, but by learning how to move through them with courage and clarity. As Russ Harris describes it, ACT is about,

“helping people to live a richer, more meaningful life based on what they value while also navigating and accepting and acknowledging all the difficult situations that we inevitably go through as human beings.”

I pair this with a natural, whole‑person approach that honors the way God designed our bodies, minds, and relationships to work together.

Some people find medication helpful, and that’s a valid part of their journey; many also discover meaningful healing through rhythms, skills, and practices that support the body’s God‑given capacity to regulate, restore, and grow.

For youth and teens especially, I incorporate sand tray and art therapy, which allow them to express emotions, process experiences, and explore their inner world in a safe, non‑verbal way.

Whether we’re working through values, faith, identity, emotional regulation, or everyday overwhelm, my goal is to help you or your teen build emotional, spiritual, and relational health in ways that feel grounded, sustainable, and true to your values.

Who is Sharon?

I’m Sharon — a mom, wife, experienced teacher, former school counselor, and mental health advocate. I know firsthand the chaos, joy, and challenges of family life, and I’ve spent years in classrooms and counseling offices walking alongside kids, teens, and families through stress, anxiety, and growth.

My passion is simple: to create safe spaces where people can breathe, calm anxiety, build confidence, and rediscover their worth. I believe in practical tools, honest conversations, and encouragement rooted in both faith and real life — because thriving isn’t about perfection, it’s about having support and skills that fit your world.

I’m currently a Counselor‑in‑Training, pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University, with graduation expected in December 2025.

Because counseling shouldn’t feel clinical or cold.

Here, you’ll find:

  • A safe space where you can be honest without judgment.

  • Practical tools you can put into practice right away.

  • Encouragement that feels genuine, not scripted.

  • A counselor who believes in you — combining proven strategies with faith‑rooted hope to help you thrive.

 FAQs

  • Not at all. Some people cry, some people laugh, some people just talk. Counseling is about showing up as you are. If tears come, they’re welcome. If they don’t, that’s perfectly fine too.

  • That’s okay! We’ll start with a free 20‑minute phone consult so you can ask questions and see if it feels like a good fit. I’ll walk you through what to expect so there are no surprises.

  • Right in the heart of Colorado Springs. For client safety, I don’t list our exact address publicly, but I’ll provide it during your consult meeting.

  • Counseling is self‑pay. Individual sessions are $45, group sessions are $25 per week. You’ll keep a card on file for easy billing. If you’d like, I can provide a superbill so you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

  • Yes! If you pay in full before the first group session, you’ll receive a 10% discount. Additionally, if you refer a client and they complete a session with me, you will get a $10 discount on your next completed session.

  • Absolutely. You can choose telehealth sessions from the comfort of your home, or meet in person if you prefer.

  • Groups are small, supportive, and run for 8–9 weeks. Each week we focus on practical tools, encouragement, and shared experiences. You’ll leave with skills and a sense of community.

Fun Fact: Groups are one of my favorite parts of counseling!

  • Life happens! If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations less than 24 hours before your appointment, or no‑shows, will be charged the full session rate.

  • Most clients meet weekly. That rhythm helps build momentum and keeps progress steady.

  • Yes, please! Counseling is better with your favorite (non-alcoholic) drink in hand. But, no food please.

  • Sometimes — but it’s not boring worksheets. Think short, practical practices you can try in real life, like a new script or a calming tool.

  • That’s fine too. Some sessions are skill‑heavy, others are simply space to process. Both are valuable.
